Device Modifications
From Nintendo Switch mod chips to custom hardware modifications — professional installation by experienced technicians at 876 Danforth Ave, Toronto.
⚠️ Important: Hardware modifications may affect your device's warranty and in some cases its compliance with local regulations. We install modifications for personal use only. We do not encourage piracy or illegal use of any kind. By requesting a mod installation you confirm the device is yours and you understand the implications. When in doubt, call us first — we're happy to advise.
We install mod chips for all Nintendo Switch models. Mod chips allow you to run homebrew software, emulators, and custom firmware on your console. All installations are done by hand with precision soldering equipment.
Discrete hardware modifications for Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses and other wearables. Our most popular mod removes or disables the LED indicator light for a more natural, less conspicuous look.
We handle a wide range of custom hardware modifications. If it's not listed here, chances are we've done it before — or we can figure it out. Bring it in or call us to discuss.
Yes — any hardware modification voids Nintendo's warranty. If your Switch is still under warranty and you plan to use Nintendo's service, we'd recommend waiting. For consoles out of warranty, this is generally not a concern.
Yes, if you go online with a modified console Nintendo can detect it and issue a ban. The standard practice is to set up emuNAND (a separate environment) and only use CFW on emuNAND, keeping your sysNAND clean for online use. We configure this as part of our CFW setup service.
Check the model number on the back of your Switch or the box. HAC-001 is V1 (potentially hackable), HAC-001(-01) is V2 (patched/Mariko), HDH-001 is Switch Lite, and HEG-001 is Switch OLED. Not sure? Bring it in and we'll identify it for free.
The LED removal involves physically desoldering the LED component. This is not reversible. We can also optionally cover it with a non-conductive material if you prefer a reversible option, though this is less reliable.
Most mods are completed same-day. Switch V1 CFW setup can be done in under an hour. V2/OLED/Lite mod chip installations typically take 2–3 hours. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you drop off.
